Angus Cloud's 911 Call Uncovers 'Euphoria' Star's Incident of 'Possible Overdose'

by Kyla Cruz

I have to be transparent here...this article is hard to write because this makes me so sad. It's one thing to be a journalist and report the news, but this man is human and his acting, superb. He was young, talented and humble. Our deepest condolences to the family.

On Monday morning, tragedy struck as Angus Cloud's mother reported a "possible overdose" upon finding her son unresponsive, according to 911 audio obtained by TMZ. The "Euphoria" star was just 25 years old when the Oakland Police Department pronounced him dead at the scene.

This devastating loss comes mere weeks after the death of his father, with whom Angus was incredibly close. Sources close to the actor shared that he was allegedly battling suicidal thoughts, having returned from burying his father in Ireland. While trying to cope with the pain, he was staying at his family home in Oakland, Calif., according to reports.

In a statement to TMZ, Angus Cloud's family asked fans to remember him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. They expressed their profound grief over losing such an incredible human being and acknowledged that he was special to all who knew him—as an artist, friend, brother, and son.

The passing of Angus also shed light on his openness about battling mental health issues. His family hopes that his story can serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone in their struggles and that they should not fight in silence.

On his Instagram, Angus posted a photo of his late father in a red tracksuit. The caption, which has since been changed to "miss u breh," may have hinted at his emotional turmoil during that time.

In April, his former manager, Diomi Cordero, publicly accused Angus of being addicted to prescription drugs. Cordero claimed to have saved Angus's life once by administering naloxone and performing CPR after an alleged overdose. He also alleged that "Euphoria" creator Sam Levinson had urged Angus to fight for his life. Levinson did not immediately respond to the allegations.

Despite having no prior acting experience, Angus Cloud won over fans with his portrayal of Fez, the drug dealer, on the popular HBO series "Euphoria." His talent and charm earned him roles in "Scream 6" and "North Hollywood."

Following the heartbreaking news, HBO and numerous other celebrities expressed their sorrow and paid tribute to Angus Cloud on social media. HBO's official "Euphoria" page tweeted their deep condolences to Angus's friends and family, recognizing him as an immensely talented and beloved part of their family.
