Issa Rae, the Star Behind 'Insecure,' Graces Us with an Engagement Announcement

Congratulations are in order for American actress, writer, and producer Issa Rae on her engagement. Let’s not forget, she’s giving us season 4 of the hit HBO series "Insecure," returning in April 2020.

It was almost one year ago that we saw the tea unfold, from Issa being ghosted to planning her block party that we all know is going to be straight fire! Despite some speculation that the show would not return, Issa Rae spoke, “We’re writing season (4) now.” This was around summer 2019, and now, we’re BACK and in full motion.

For those of you who didn’t know, many people who are featured as extras for the show's main focus—the Block Party—were cast using platforms such as backstage.com, and that is where we too, here at She’s SINGLE Magazine, located our first BOLD Bachelorette.

While we look to celebrate and uplift single African American women, we are just as proud and happy to celebrate our BOLD Fiancés, and of course, our fav, Issa, made the list. Rumors began to swirl of the actress’s engagement to longtime boyfriend Louis Diame from co-stars Yvonne Orji and Jay Ellis in spring 2019.
