Jodie Turner-Smith Initiates Divorce Proceedings from Joshua Jackson After 4 Years of Marriage

The marital journey of Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith has reached an unexpected crossroads as Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson, bringing an end to their nearly four-year union.

The divorce documents, which She's SINGLE has obtained, list "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the separation. Turner-Smith, known for her role in "Queen & Slim," has requested joint custody of their 3-year-old daughter, Janie. She has also requested the removal of the option for spousal support, noting the existence of a prenuptial agreement. The separation date is listed as September 13, 2023.

TMZ was the first to break the news of the divorce.

The couple's journey began when they met at Jackson's birthday party in 2018. Less than a year later, they became secretly engaged and exchanged vows in a discreet ceremony in December 2019. Their wedding was a low-profile event, following their sighting obtaining a marriage license in Los Angeles in August.

Their union resulted in the birth of their daughter via a home birth in April 2020, with a representative confirming her health and happiness to Page Six at the time.

While Jackson and Turner-Smith kept much of their relationship out of the public eye, they occasionally shared intriguing personal anecdotes with their fans. Turner-Smith disclosed last year that they had a one-night stand when they first met. A few months later, Jackson surprised fans by revealing that Turner-Smith had actually proposed to him during a romantic stroll on a beach in Nicaragua.

Although their relationship featured moments like sharing nude photos of each other and even starring together in a J. Crew campaign, it seems that their connection ultimately couldn't withstand the test of time.
