Marriage may not be in the air for Mr. Derulo just yet, but recently the singer announced that he and longtime girlfriend Jena Frumes are expecting!! Jason Derulo (31) and Jena Frumes (27) began dating just over a year ago. They met at a gym and became a couple shortly before quarantine started in March 2020. When the stay-at-home order was enacted, the two quarantined in Derulo’s mansion in California.

According to People.com, throughout the pandemic, the couple has been releasing Tik Tok dance videos. This trend has resulted in Derulo’s recent rise in fame as he clocks in at twelve million subscribers on the app. All this time at home has also changed the way Derulo views his career. He told PEOPLE that things cannot go back to the way they were, saying, “I don’t think I can be away from home that long anymore.” With the popularity and flexibility of social media, this transition should not be impossible.
The couple recently released a short video on Instagram revealing Frume’s baby bump beneath a lovely pink dress as they posed on a gorgeous seashore and announced that their new addition was “coming soon.” Derulo and Frumes shared their excitement, Derulo calling attention to the “new chapter” and Frumes captioning her post “Mom and Dad.”
Jason Derulo has risen to stardom over the years both writing music and performing. Some of his most notable hits are “Whatcha Say,” “Want to Want Me,” and most recently, “Savage Love.” In addition to this track, he released a Tik Tok video dancing to it featuring both him and his girlfriend. Jena Frumes is an actress and model with her own popular YouTube channel boasting 150 thousand subscribers. On her page, Frumes posts several different types of videos from fashion and fitness, to trends and travel. According to Capital FM, Frumes became popular on social media thanks to the Tik Tok fame she and Derulo have garnered. This will be the couple’s first child together.
