Gemini is the third sign of the zodiac, with birthdays from May 21st to June 21st. Represented by a set of twins, this sign is all about communication and intrinsic duality. Many times, a Gemini can be regarded as childlike or indecisive, which may lead to some conflict in their day-to-day lives or with other sun signs, such as Virgo.

Virgos and Geminis may not get along because they are very different. A Virgo is most known for being a perfectionist who expects their partners to be responsible, caring, and understanding, while most Geminis are known for being carefree and fun-loving, albeit a tad bit irresponsible, since their views on life are typically viewed with optimism. Where other signs rely on practicality, a Gemini may be considered flighty, with no real concern around duty or service.

COMMUNICATION

Geminis are natural communicators and will spend a great amount of time learning, researching, and communicating with their partner. Not only that, but when they love you or even like you, you can expect them to go above and beyond to learn even the smallest details about you to surprise you with a gift or get personal enough to show you how much they care. The average Gemini values their independence, so if they’re spending time with you, then it's a safe bet that they are very intrigued by you and interested in a long-term romance.

When two Geminis come together, it can be a battle of the minds. Due to both signs being very intelligent with the ability to see things from two different perspectives (twins), it’s not impossible for them to bump heads. Naturally, you want to identify your masculine and feminine traits in the relationship to help set the tone for how you will approach one another and handle any conflict.

Having a superiority complex can be the downfall of your intimate relationship because while neither of you may operate from ego or pride, it’s still important for both of you to share your intellect and hope that the other person is smart enough to decipher your angle. Sometimes, a Gemini can be vague in their responses or with their attempt at reconciliation, but one thing is for certain: they are almost always sure about their actions before committing to it.

SPACE TO DREAM

Like the sun sign Pisces, Geminis are notorious dreamers who have big goals in life. Not only that, they are self-motivated to achieve them. When two Geminis come together, it’s important that you’re able to support one another and the goals you share. Outside of that, a Gemini may need to know that while they are pursuing their goals, you will be right there with them, helping them, listening to them, and guiding them as much as they will allow.

There is a constant fear between these two signs when they are together: having their emotions clearly read or not having any support at all. When a Gemini feels they are up against a brick wall, they will retreat, and while it may hurt them to do so, it is usually their way of protecting themselves. On the other hand, because Geminis are so good at learning their partners, there is a sense of panic that their inner feelings may come to light.

Sometimes, a Gemini will refrain from speaking too much about themselves while asking a million questions to the person they are with or trying to get to know. Similar to a Scorpio sun who is known for their secretive nature, many Geminis will guard their thoughts because they experience so many and do not want to risk hurting their person.

Now imagine two people doing this… things could get rocky. Compatibility between a Leo and Gemini usually works well as fire and air are naturally compatible: Geminis love to ask questions and Leo’s love being the center of attention and/or conversation. Thus, a Gemini can retain their mystery without it ever being called into question because the Leo is perfectly fine taking up space in the conversation.

SAME SIGN RELATIONSHIPS

Don’t get discouraged because with every same sign relationship, it takes a conscious effort to work through matters that you both struggle with. It’s like dating the opposite sex of yourself, and that is okay. Once you’ve come to terms with your personality traits and are aware of how to define them, it makes it easier to date someone with similar traits and work through any problems that may arise.

The first step is to acknowledge the behavior on both sides. If it’s an unwanted behavior, then of course, do not reward it and have a conversation which Geminis are very good at. Expressing emotions, on the other hand, could be something that neither of you is great at due to having that fear mentioned earlier. But once you can both bypass that, then the possibilities of a flourishing and happy relationship are endless.

To some degree, we all fear betrayal, and a Gemini is no different. They will give you the best version of themselves in almost every aspect, and while they can be imperfect at times, this same sign relationship can learn to trust one another. Their insatiable appetite for knowledge of worldly things or the person in front of them is mainly there to act as a defense mechanism to help shield their emotions from potential heartbreak or disappointment. So, give your Gemini some time, show them that you’re here for the long haul, and never betray their trust, especially with information they share with you when they are the most vulnerable.
